Well last year at Christmas me and all my mates went to Tenerife for a week, I think we paid £250 and we had the best time ever. The nightlife is fantastic. We also went to Playa Del Ingles in Gran Canaria this year but it was quite expensive, but I think we just got ripped off.

Scotland definitely,Tenerife well probally have to find extra as, each year without fail most travel agents or tour companies up the price at least £50 an being New Year well they will be coining it in to make up for losses during the year.France would be OK if they aren`t on strike! but if you want sun tan as well then parts of Africa west maybe? Where ever you go have a good time I have to stay here in the sunny south.

Check out the Thomson website for good value deals. And I know there used to be a company called Portland Travel who operated together with Thompson which always did great deals. A lot of companies have last minute bookings for cheap. Internet bookings are usually cheaper. If you can get a late deal on Cuba. This is an exellent destination or Turkey. You can search under "last minute deals" or "cheap holidays". Enjoy your break!

Edinburgh is, indeed, the place to be Basement Bob, but a budget of 250 pounds each isn't going to cut it. In fact it isn't going to cut it at any place worthwhile. New Year is expensive anywhere in the world.

If you do choose Edinburgh you will need to try and secure tickets for The Party right now. I went the first two years - us Scots know how to throw a party don't we?!
