are you sure? maybe you don't need a psychologist

I think you have to ask yourself some questions.
1. If you feel that this would help you, why would your family not support you. Perhaps you need to be very clear with your family about why you feel you need this help. It may be that they feel that needing help shows some weakness, where in fact it is a sign of a strong person to recognize that they need help and to go and get it.
2. If you talk this through with your family and they still do not want you to have help, then perhaps their lack of support is part of the reason that you need help. Perhaps you need to go and get the help and see if your view is different once you have had the help.

Good luck, I hope that you find the help you need. It shows great courage to go and get help.

don't let anyone tell you how to handle your mental health problems- get some help- through school or social services or even free clinics- another clue- most people (especially the older generation) think that if you see a psychologist or getthat kind of help -it means you are crazy- not so, most people would benefit from some help in that direction. good luck to you and be kind to yourself-sally

Its not up to your family to make this decision for you! Its between you and your counsellor.
If it makes anyone else uncomfortable, family or not, its none of their business and you don't even need to tell them that you are going.
See your gp for more advice, if you're a minor you should still be entitled to help.
Good luck.

go for it, if you need help of any kind, go find it. Ask your doctor how to go about it, in spite of whatever anyone in the world (including your family!!) says. I do understand it might be hard to go against your families advice, but once you get the help you need they will understand.
Good luck!

uh! that depends on what concerns u about urself! if u think really it would be solved by a psychic, otherwise we can discuss it over here and see what can u do next.

family disinterest would be ur concern after!
