Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions in the past as well as in the ongoing Champions Trophy Matches, nothing can be predicted for certain about the outcome of a tournament to be held after couple of months.

It all depends on the performance of the players on the given day. Upsets are possible on any day.

The chances of India winning the world cup 2007 cannot be ruled out. If India select the right blend of talented players and if the players perform to their potential with fighting spirit and keeping national pride abhout personal interests, India can defenitely win the world cup 2007.

Consider a scenario where India and Australia are the World Cup finalists. Australia is a vastly stronger side than India. And with a very professional attitude too. They just don't give up. They have an enviable record of victories. Defeating them and that too in the finals sounds plausible? Logically, I don't think so. Unless a dash of luck sits on India and deserts the Aussies. Or India is gripped with a zeal akin to the one shown by Kapil's Devils when they lifted the Prudential Cup. I have intentionally not considered the hiccups on the way to the finals, as the question relates to India's winning the World Cup.

i got to be honest it doesnt look good for them. not that there are any other better teams out there besides australia. i think after aus. everyone has a chance to be in the final. the question is who will it be facing aus. in finals. india's bowling attack has been terrible for a long time now. we're a land of billions and i cant beleive we cant find a god damn good bowler. i dont care if sachin is healthy and i dont care how many runs they can put up on the board they have to defend that score. if they can get 5 good bowlers (i mean legit bowlers not half *** bowlers). if they can do that before the world cup india might have a chance but they;re a long way from that. GO INDIA
