because the bottles have micrscopic bacteria and spores on them and whilst the water is stationary in a small body such as a bottle eventually the bacteria will build up to a potentially unsafe level. Or its just a ploy to get us to buy more of that cr*p.

you dont drink the same water.its processed through aftificial minerals and is purified.the water in the mountaind is not at all healthy to drink.these bottles are sterlized and the mineral water is passed through various processes to remove impurities and salts.then the bottle is made available for commercial sale.the chemicals int he water make it expire i presume.

I think its because any still water becomes stagnant after a while. Eventually the seal degrades and bacteria can breed.

I guess the water is good but the container can deteriorate & affect the water, so maybe thts why they have an expiry date.

Stil water will eventually become stagnant whereas running water wont. I'm not sure why though.
