It is very interesting. I thought the autism would happen to a few number of the people in the society, but after encountering many cases, it looks like the autism has somewhat became a common phenomena.

Do you agree with me?

At the same time, I want to have a poll. Who here knows anyone with autism or yourself have one?

I do.

I know a young man who has probable autism; the diagnosis can't be confirmed because of multiple disabilities. He is the only one I know personally but I have a lot of friends who have a relative with autism. It is much more prevalent than it used to be.

I get tired of the people who've never dealt with it saying that the kids are just spoiled. I've known plenty of people who were spoiled terribly as children and also those who were neglected and never punished. They have their own problems but they do not act like people with autism do.

Autism is more easily diagnosed now from severe to slight cases & people that would have been classed as "a bit odd" are now correctly diagnosed.
The children with autism are not hidden & kept secret from public life like they used to be either.

However I do believe in Professer Wakefields belief that tha MMR innoculation may cause autism and/or bowel problems in certain children which should be looked into instead of the government forcing all medical professionals to persuade parents to innoculate
their children with the triple vaccine as it's cheaper than the single shots.

I think like asthma, it has become much easier to diagnose, so more cases are being recorded as such, rather than not making it into the statistics at all.

I don't know anyone with autism.

my husband's uncle has one and a friend of mine has one too. they are very special. as for it being common i couldn't say. but all god's children are special and i am sure there is a purpose for this that is beyond my understanding.
