There is some pretty hard evidence that it already has? It is a process, after all, not a cataclysmic event, similar to a volcanic eruption. Although, come to think of it, maybe it is! My understanding is that there are fore warnings of an eruption...and these lead to a cataclysmic event.
The frightening thing, for me, is that, according to some authorities, we are already past the point of no return!
Some say this is nonsense - yet the fact remains that there are massive changes in our world's climate. I grew up with trees...I've heard many statements about a drop in rain-fall when too many big trees are removed. I've heard the disclaimers...and I've read the reports of drought in places where it was once unhead of. Tasmania, smallest state in Australia, once developed all its electricity by hydro power. There was talk of exporting it to Victoria and New South Wales. Now there is regular drought, and regular problems producing enough power for the state's own use.
The Amazon is now subject to drought...Neither of these are cyclic, as detractors claim. Both experienced routine fluctuations in annual rainfall - but never to the extent now the norm..

The real question :-
When do we arrive at the 'tipping point', the point where nothing can be done to stop the future devastating effects of global warming ?

Who cares? Is is Global Boiling not Warming. We are in that stage now.
No one is in control. They don't want to introduce anything unpopular for fear of doing the next government's work for them.
It's too late anyway with the UK picking up the aircraft pollution for Europe. Any crap from anywhere send it here.
Great Britain?
Great Rubbish Heap.
They hope to get to the moon to live but they won't make it.

Don't you think it's here already. Mid October in England and 18 degrees...that is unheard of, not to mention our mild winters. Children in this country don't know what 5 foot of snow even looks like! We are slowly becoming Mediterranean.
