Just a small note for the muppet below (dj):
I think MS is a very talented driver. Certainly one of the best, he has put a lot of effort into the Ferrari team - more than any other driver. However, if you look down the years (or even to Monaco this season) he has pulled a lot of shady stunts when it comes to getting he wants. I am merely curious as to what other people think he will do... Will he:
a) take defeat on the chin like a man (if he does get defeated)?
b) try and cheat his way into his 8th championship?
He very rarely gets penalised by the FIA for any misconduct, and if he does its usually less severe than had any other driver been the culprit.

Cheeky! Hopefully he'll show his excellent skills that has made him SEVEN times World Champion and win hands down! I can't see him wanting to go out under a black cloud. Although he's said he's given up on the personal title and is just working on the constructors, I think he still really wants to win. I'm a HUGE Shumi fan and would love to see him win and Alsono score no points but am not sure that's going to happen. If he could win the race and go out a winner that would be great. Formula 1 won't be the same without him - whether you like him or not I think most people would agree with that statement.

How does one sum up the Schumacher era? Well, it has been one of outstanding, even mind-boggling, achievement. An era that will remain seared on the memory - and in the record books - forever and a day. There are many who say that Formula One will be worse off because of his departure. Niki Lauda went as far as saying this week that Kimi Raikkonen will cause the decline of Ferrari. That may be harsh but time will tell. Personally, I look forward to an era of greater unpredictability; a return to the romance of motor racing. I have the greatest respect for Schumacher's talent, conscientiousness and focus but I am not a fan. Even discounting the unsportsmanlike behaviour he has displayed over the years, hand on heart I can safely say that I will not miss Michael Schumacher after he leaves Formula One.

Haha! The amusing thing about questions like the above is that 9 times out of 10 they are asked by people who say how great Senna was etc, conveniently forgetting that Senna pulled off the most reckless move ever seen to win the World Championship in 89 against Alain Prost.

Schumacher is the greatest driver ever and it would have been nice to see him finish as World Champion but if he does not it will make little difference to his great record in the grand scheme of things.

No. He can`t afford to. If he wipes Alonso out he will be out anyway and won`t win the championship. If he pulls a dirty trick, the FIA will know it was deliberate and disqualify him. It is his last race, he wants to put on a good performance, have a good race and win the constuctors for Ferrari, and just hope Fernando crashes or falls off the road

No, it's his last race and he can only win the championship by winning the race AND hoping that Alonso doesn't even get one point. He's already conceded that possibility as a forlorn hope and is intent on winning the constructor's title for Ferrari.

I think there will be a small accident involving Massa and Alsonso...meaning Alonso will have to retire from the race.

If that's what he has to do to win then i'm sure he won't hesitate.

Let's just hope this time the authorities have the balls to punish him and if necessary take this years championship away.

I hope not a dirty trick but a tough race.

I know he has been a stinker on occasion, but everyone will be watching & after his gaffe earlier in the year, I don't think he will.
