There are hearings for shows all the time for secondary
roles, so show up at one as a candidate. Also you could
get a recording of yourself and spread it around. Surely
you must have a friend who has a top-of-the-line computer
with this facility (super drive) or, rent an hour in a studio
and go with a couple of friends to accompany you, have
a few disks recorded and distribute. Good luck.

Form your own band. Put up flyers looking for other members, that way it will always be your band and you get to call the shots as far as style of music you wanna sing.

Look out for entertainment vacancies...or advertisements for band members, that may be holding auditions...that's how i got into singing in the first place.....to get in a band is all well and good but be honest with yourself, whether you can really sing, or not.

Hang around Musicians.Go to music stores, etc.
Talk to clerks in music stores. Some Bars, and other places have "Open Mike" nights, where anyone can
perform. Go early to concerts and talk to setup people.
Just get involved and let it happen.
