Flute is the musical instrument closest to nature as it uses air which I feel is the most natural thing.

The flute. It is made of bamboo and produces the same effect of wind blowing over bamboo plants. It is soothing and lays your mind to rest.
Though wind instruments come only second in order of merit as compared to string instruments, its soothing effect which lays in its continuous sound is better. In a string instrument however, the pluck of a string is momentary and dies down within a short period.

Not sure if you know this but, the banduria is. It's quite cool, kinda like a small guitar, but no, not a banjo. It's used in rondalla as far as I know.
