after you install windows you always have to reinstall the updates and drivers found in the disk that came with the main board, if you did not build it , try looking on the web site of the company you bought it from [as a download] or to see if it is still in the box that it came in with the papers that you also forgot to put up.

most brobably u dont' have an audio driver.
try installing AV rack itz good, also install k-lite codek pack(that is for vedio playback).
