I am not a loser or a lazy mooch looking for a handout. My husband and I work so hard and just can't seem to catch up. I was a victim of a hit and run, they found him, but his insurance is doing what insurance companies do. Hoping to get a settlement to get us ahead, but I have to take it to court. Sounds questional, but how do I ask for $1 donations? This is no stupid scam.

Unfortunately you will probably end up spending more money in trying to market your cause of need than you'll possibly receive so the odds are against you. Why not consider increasing your income or reducing your expenses to get ahead. If you were the victim of a hit and run, you need to call YOUR insurance company and let them battle it out. You will be far better off selling candy bars at the mall to raise your $1 of donations than you'll be trying to solicit donations on your own. You will have to reach a whole lot more than 3000 people to get your $3,000 target donations. What is THAT going to cost you in time and advertising??? If it were easy, I think everyone would be doing it. Do what you can do... get a part time job or reduce your routine spending.
