Moving to London. I'm a pretty American girl..I bartend..and I want to get the hell out of the U.S.. I've always wanted to move to the U.K., and it's a big possibiliy. Do I need a work visa? How should I go about it if I decide to do so?

Yes, you would need a work visa.

Like the previous person who answered, I would recommend living in a city in Northen England or in Scotland rather than in London - London is a really expensive place to live, rent is often two or three times as expensive as the North of England.

There are lots of great cities in England - Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol, Bradford, York (to name a few).

The biggest cities in Scotland are Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Don't go to London!
Come to Edinburgh, the quality of life here is so much better and pretty American Girls are always more than welcome!
