Way to go Jeff spin! Most people think it is the right, but it is the LEFT! It provides for most of the control and racquet head speed in a two handed backhand. A good way to improve your two handed backhand if you are unsatisfied with it is to practice hitting a backhand with your left hand only and using an identical swing to your forehand. If you think that the right hand is dominant, then just take a look at the pros. If their right hand was dominant then, there would be little difference between the one-handed backhand and the two-handed backhand. Obviously these two strokes are far from identical so it is the left hand that is dominant in the two-handed backhand.

I hit with a 2 handed backhand and am right handed. The left hand drives through the ball, but the right hand helps with support and coordination.

Isn't there even one person out there who understands proper tennis technique? How can so many misconceptions about tennis technique persist for so long?
The LEFT hand is absolutely the dominant hand on a 2-handed backhand.
In other words, it's just like hitting a 1-handed forehand with your opposite hand (the left hand for righties), except that your right hand still remains on the racquet.

Left
but if your left hand is really bad, might as well use a single backhand

Your right hand. Your left hand is there to support the racquet because untill you get stronger, it's hard to do a one handed backhand. : )

the right hand but both are important. You need the right hand as the master hand, but the left hand adds balance and power. If you don`t push your left hand through propperly the swing won`t work

Your right hand is on the bottom, but actually you want to push a bit more with your left when hitting the two hander. If you are right handed.
