I am on the pill and always use a condom, however, every now and then we will have unprotected sex. (like once every 2 months!) The actual act of sex is fine but then after we finish, it starts to sting slightly inside me..y is this?I have only ever had sex with 1 guy in my life and he is my long term bf, who I have been with for over 2 years now. It only stings after unprotected sex…never when we use a condom…is it smthing to do with his sperm?or a reaction of the sperm to the air?or a side effect of the pill? Worried… :s

Thanks for all the answers so far…a lot of people say its to do with lubrication, but im not sure if it is, you see this only happens when I have unprotected sex..and the actual act of sex is fine..if I wasn’t “ready” it would hurt during sex also..but this is not the case…only afterwards….

Why don't you ask your GP?

I think Cherry is completely wrong. If a 'womans natural juices' were designed to'repel pregnancy' the species would have died out 250 thousand years ago. It doens't make any biological sense. For example, orgasms increase the chance of pregnancy, not decrease it.
It could be that you have some kind of allergic reaction to you mate, incompatible tissues types leading to a mild rejection reaction; or maybe it's psychosomatic. If you are using the pill and condoms you clearly don't want to get pregnant. So when you have unprotected sex your mind reacts by making your body uncomforatable at taking the risk. At an even deeper level it could be that subconciously you feel that your mate is not right for you and your body is rejecting his, even if you think he is right for you on the surface.
Never underestimate the power of the mind in relation to physical symptoms, particulalry sexual ones. I would strongly urge you to see a good homeopath and discuss it. Unprotected sex should be the most delightful experience you can have naturally:)

I does sound like you react to the sperm - it's not common but it does happen. It is my understanding that both women and men can develop an immune reaction to sperm, called sperm antibodies, known as a sperm allergy. This reaction causes women and men's bodies to produce antibodies that affect sperm's ability to move, inhibiting fertilisation.
"Symptoms can be burning, pain and swelling that can occur for long periods of time. Typically it affects the outer vaginal vault area, though it can also affect the inner vault. Some women describe severe burning and pain, where it feels like 1,000 needles have been injected in them at one time".
- so would recommend talking with your b/f and just have protected sex and going to see you doctor - they might be able to help.

Take care.

You May need lubrication like KY. You can buy it in a drug store or discount store. Or, there may be something about your boyfriend's body that is irritating you. Make sure you both wash before sex. Douche after with vinegar water.

Your man's load is irritating your box like an allergy. Tell him to pull out. The sting should not last long after the magic moment is over if the pain last long go and see the doc.

You might be allergic to his sperm, there could be an underlying health issue. Ask your ob at your next appointment, soon!, so you can get another form of birth control in addition to condoms. Unless you're trying to get pregnant of course.

If you have foreplay before the act he may well have accidentally scratched you inside and with the friction on the sex it may cause it to hurt. It’s kind of like putting salt on an open cut.

Being allergic to sperm is a possibility.. maybe you just have a sensitive uterus?

I would not be too concerned. A woman natural juices are quite acidic and are designed to repel pregnancy, it could be your PH balance in conjunction without a condom you may have a lubrication problem and if the sex is vigorous you can also have friction from repeated penetration. I would not be concerned.

It is probably that you don't have enough lubrication. Either, you aren't producing enough in your body or you just need some for outside. I would go to a doc just to be certain. Unless he has abomidably dry skin on his penis. I would get it checked out just to be certain.
