Nuclear Power whether it is good or Bad depends on the use.
but if one considers the radiation efforts and shutdown costs an alternative is better if available is better.

Bad.

-Nobody has come up with a satisfactory answer to what to do with the waste.

-It is the first step into developping nuclear weapons (otherwise the US end the EU would not be so worked out about Iranian efforts to get it).

-It is an economic sinkhole. All nuclear power plants are kept running at hughe costs to the tax payers by means of lavish subsidies. No nuclear plant has ever been profitable. That is the dirty little secret of the industry.

-For obvious reaons the nuclear power industry is closely linked to military industries. I don;t know about you, but I would prefer no to support an industry with such links.

Good.
It is an invention of nature. Nature doesn't have any bad things. The use of these inventions make the image of that as good or bad in human minds.
