Of course they are....thats one of the problems that intelligence is facing at the moment....they are monitoring too much, and its hard to sift through all the data......there is the other side of the coin, tho...maybe they are not monitoring anything, and we are just made to feel that they are.....lenin wrote about this in his pamphlet the state where he said that the less police there are on the street, the more they are already controlling our minds, leaving the policing to us, and shows like big brother gently burrow into our conciousness to make us feel that we are always being watched....there may be millions of cctv cameras out there, but are there million of people watching them? no, just one bored old man with brown sauce down his trousers waiting for the day that he can claim his pension and look after his garden.....we are made paranoid, so my answer is yes and no...hope that helped

GCHQ gave a load of old IBM PS2s which employees use to play Tetris. I doubt they have the technology to watch yahoo answers.

They have spent all their funding on the new buildings, new computers are out of the question.

They do have current vacancies for people who want to play Tetris all day.

Oh yes! They watch all electronic communications and even use things like mobile phones to listen in people's homes. If you don't believe how powerful this stuff is, let me tell you a story. I was once working in a country that uses all the same surveillance technology to spy on everyone. I was wondering why I wasn't getting any emails from colleagues: a week had gone by. s I was talking about it and looking at the screen with a colleague, all the emails for a week suddenly popped up. He looked at me and said: 'they heard you!'.

Yes in conjunction with the NSA and the Canadian equivalent. It's called the Echelon system and they monitor every IP packet 24/7 trying to pick up 'chatter'. I saw a good documentary about it on one of the factual channels.
