It ended? Are you sure? It seems to me that the Brits and the French have always been at war and always will be at war. It's a constant in this world: the sun shall always rise, the seasons shall always change, and France and England shall always be at odds.
It's kind of comforting, you know. Knowing that no matter what else happens in this crazy world, the French and English will always find something to fight about.

the last one was the WW2. In 1940 -with the Royal navy sinking the Vichy French ships in Dakar, the invasion of Vichy french Madagascar in 1942 and on French North Africa in November 1942. The Normandy landings in 1944 were technically an attack on the Germans who were by then occupying the whole of France.
Historically these two were almost always at war, so please specify at least which century you need.

Which one? There were several official wars and a continual one between those. UK is not part of the EURO system because of the French...so the "economic" war continues.
