Me and the wife are thinking of going next year to visit her uncle just wondering when is the best time to visit.

I have been there twice. The weather there is pleasant year around, but you would best be ware of going during hurricane season, June to October. You also may want to go to the web sites below and see if there are local activities/festivals going on that you may want to go there for.

Yes I went to the triangle! If you want good weather go between March - June, to avoid rain and hurricanes.
