If so, do you know if you can get the contact lens supplier to fit/make contact lenses for your personal specification? I wear the Acuvue Daily Disposables.

What are toric lenses?

Toric lenses ARE the special ones for people with this problem. The lens is slightly weighted to stop it revolving on the eye and therefore give you the best vision possible. Because they are weighted they can be slightly thicker than normal lenses, but after a while they feel just as comfortable. I found 'soft' lenses to be the best. Any good optician will offer helpful, informed and friendly advice as it's a problem shared by millions of us!

You should definitely See an eye doctor,That is the best way. Or to be even more safe I would get a second opinion after seeing the first eye doctor. The only way to be safe is for a professional to look at you in person, every person is different...I'd go to the doctor... P.s. I have astigmatism ,I hope you get it taken cared of...It's a big bother....

I wear Acuvue Monthly contacts. They're toric lenses. That's pretty much the extent I know of my astigmatism.

My husband has astigmatism and i had it when i was pregnant. there are some special lenses you can get specifically for this. i know mine were toric (not the name of a brand i'm afraid just a type of lense) and my husbands i can't remember but we get them from Scrivens opticians. for astigmatisms the lense has to be shaped to fit the eye properly or you will get a lot of discomfort.

nip to the opticians and see what they say, there are plenty of options out there now!

I have it in my left eye and I find every time I change my lenses for a few days afterwards it feels like I have grit in my eye. After about a week it settles. I've spoken Specsavers but they can't do much.

I wear the monthly ones where I can wear them for a month day and night at a time.

I have astigmatism in both eyes and I had to get my contacts weighted so that they fit comfortably..I also wanted color contacts but that is more of a problem with astigmatism

I can't wear contacts because my astigmatism is so bad. The last eye test I had they couldn't offer anything for contacts as they would have had to have been especially made.
