Marilyn vos Savant. Marilyn's official score on her Stanford-Binet form L (as written on her school record) was actually "167+" which isnt really all that high, they weren't prepared to test such an intellect.. according to wiki: "It is generally acknowledged that Marilyn vos Savant has an extremely high IQ. However, there is much confusion over its actual value, with different calculations yielding different numbers: 167+, 186, 218, 228, and 230."
228 is the highest possible under current standarized testing.

Marilyn vos Savant and William James Sidis had the highest IQs recorded. William James Sidis scored an IQ estimated to be between 250 and 300. Marilyn scored 228 as a child, but her results were lower as she grew older, possibly because the first test was not made for IQs in that range.
Steven Hawking's IQ is 200.

The highest IQ ever measured was that of Marilyn Vos Savant.
She had an IQ of 228. She used to write a column for Parade Magazine...
William James Sidis was another contender who was believed to have a crudely estimated IQ of (250-300).
There is no set way to measure intelligence as there are too many aspects to take into account (memory, problem-solving, etc), so don't put too much faith in your IQ rating. You could easily score 140 on an IQ test and still seem dumber than the dog next door :-) !!!!

+ You may find it interesting that many people who are know as creative artists, inventors and writters have never been tested. I presently have no tested IQ and graduated from an MIT masters degree program.
My girlfriend tested "retarded" and is world known as a genius in several fields(published animal behavioralist).
Isn't that even more mind boggling?
I kinda like not having an IQ

That is debateable but it is supposedly Marilyn Vos Savant.
