To make sure you have the necessary safety guard on your computer,parental control buttons, to also trust your children, talk to them about safety and the dangers. Show an interest in what they look at. Put a time limit on how long they can be on the computor and change the times every now and again so there is no pattern. Any nasty people know the times the children use it and tea time, early evening is most like their prey time so change the times they use it and also monitor how much they use it. Check the history so you know what they are looking at if unsure and if you do not like it block it.
The internet should be fun and a source of learning and as long as we make sure we are responsible with their usage and guards on there should be no problem.

Talk to the children and tell them the advantages and disadvantages of internet. With this the children will be aware whenever they are using the internet whether what they are doing doing is safe, proper or not.

lol children are so crafty now a days, you are able to't cover something from them. They comprehend lot extra about hacking and cracking then us. Why do not you in basic terms restriction them from using computer. computer is ineffective until eventually used in for business enterprise.

trust your kids, and trust their judgement. depends what age they are. kids are always looking at new ways to talk to other kids. when we were younger we used to use my dads cb radio (wow, how old am i!!!). you just have to make sure your kids are aware of the dangers. good luck :)
