I would try another home test and if it still shows negative then go to your doctor for advice. It could be menopause but is quite early for that. It may be something like fibroids but you really need a blood test and/or a scan to find out whats going on. Good luck x

I would recommend that you repeated the pregnancy test at your doctors to see if the test was a false negative and if it is still negative then there is a blood test you can have to see if it is menopause. symptoms of the menopause are hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness. This is due to the compensatory hormones released as the ovaries cease oestrogen production.
If your mother had en early menopause then this heightens the chances of an early menopause for you also.

Hi, I'm nearly 41 and have irregular periods too, but my GP just said that was normal. My problems were caused by having my tubes tied (nobody told me any of this before I had it done). Usually, the onset of the menopause can make your periods more frequent, but I still think you're a bit young for that, unless your mother started menopause early too. You don't mention if you have had any other signs of menopause, so it's possible you're pregnant. Ring and make an appointment to see your GP today, and I wish you well.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/78tL5

As you say, it could be the menopause. A simple blood test via your doctor will confirm this (they look at the level of hormones in the blood). If its not the start of the menopause then it needs to be checked out.

Go to your GP and get a blood test to see if you are indeed pregnant or maybe he/she can tell you what could be causing your peroid to stay away.
