Thats about 10 cups of tea a day. Tea has some health benifits and fluid intake can be benificial also.A lot depends on an individuals other health issues. If you sweeten it with 3 sugars and use high fat content full milk then you are going towards the minus side of the equation. If you have a concern about something in particular ..the best person to ask is your GP. Hope this helps you.......

Most likely not and there is some evidence that it might be good for you. However ten cups a day is a lot and anything in excess is bad for you. I would try to cut down a little if I was you. How about having a glass of good old water instead. It will help your body deal with the toxins in the tea.

I would say that 10 or more cups a day may be a little excessive yes.
The tannin in tea can cause a few problems, not to mention the caffeine, and earl grey contains bergamot oil which can lead to cancer.
Tyr alternating with green tea, decaf and herbal teas too.

No apparently drinking tea is as good,if not better than drinking water!Scientists have called for an increase in tea drinking following (advanced online) publication of new research. Data collated over more than ten years found that drinking 4 cups or more every day of Britain's favourite brew could be more beneficial than drinking water!*

The research flies in the face of advice given during the recent hot spell. A number of health 'experts' wrongly spouted that only water should be drunk for hydration - dangerous advice indeed for the elderly population most at risk of suffering.

Dr Carrie Ruxton, principle researcher, confirmed: 'There is now overwhelming evidence that drinking tea every day can be beneficial to heart health. Our bodies need antioxidants to help fight off the attack by free radicals and tea provides the most abundant source in the UK diet. We should also consider the positive benefits that drinking tea has on hydrating Britons - many of whom are elderly and don't drink water.'

Bill Gorman of The Tea Council welcomed the new research: 'This new paper rubber stamps much of what we already know, that the tea we drink every day is good for our health. Our own research has shown that in recent years young women are increasingly drinking tea rather than coffee, although many are shunning tea in favour of water, which they find a chore, rather than something they enjoy. For the good of their health, they should turn back to tea - they'd be a mug not to.

yes! A colleague of mine used to drink tea in that quantity and over time the tannin in the tea built up in her system and made her seriously ill. She had to have treatment for over a year to remove the tannin.

drink no more than 3 or 4 cups a day to have a beneficial effect on the body.

Probably not good but I think I drink about that much but I drink iced tea so it's only 5-6 big glasses a day for me. I've been switching to green tea because it's supposed to be better.

Tea isn't bad for you, but the milk and sugar will add lots of calories, plus anything you add takes away the anti-oxidant properties of the tea. Do you have an excessive thirst? Get your blood glucose tested for diabetes. If it's just boredom, get out of that rut that you're stuck in. If it's a social thing because you're very popular, and assuming you're in good health, then by all means continue to enjoy yourself! :)

Most experts agree that moderation and common sense are the keys for consuming caffeine-containing foods and beverages. Moderate caffeine consumption is considered to be about 300 mg. which is equal to 3 cups of coffee, but this depends on the individual and can vary from one to several beverages. Consumers with certain health problems may wish to consult with their physician or health care provider about caffeine consumption.

"Moderate tea or coffee drinkers probably need have no concern for their health relative to their caffeine consumption provided other lifestyle habits (diet, alcohol consumption) are moderate, as well."

People differ greatly in their sensitivity to caffeine; some individuals can drink several cups of coffee, tea or soft drinks within an hour and notice no effects, whereas others may feel stimulating effects after one serving. Caffeine does not accumulate in the bloodstream or body and is normally excreted within several hours following consumption.

Caffeine may increase alertness in tired individuals and enhance performance of certain tasks. Many people find caffeinated beverages can help them stay alert when they work or study. Individual sensitivity and frequency of consumption determine the effect of caffeine on sleep.

I drink same amount if not more, so i changed to decaf. The quality and availability of decaf tea has improved dramatically over the past couple of years, i also swapped sugar for sweetner. Give it a try you get used to it.
