Had to get seperate video card but no credit cards so recommended to me which should be compatable.Still had to have it fixed twice by tech to make sure it would run properly but having weird freezes stops and buildings staying that i built but all people i created gone and so are the regular characters that are in the first neighborhood when you first play including the newbies!

It sounds like you do not have enough memory or you need a more powerful processor. The Sims doesn't run well at all on a Celeron.

When you are playing, the game is running many routines in memory, including things that need a lot of RAM. If you have less than a Gigabyte you probably will always experience some problems with the Sims.

E-machines are very cheap, with parts that are not always the best. You have encountered problems with Graphics, and probably with CPU capability and RAM capacity. The problems with your characters and with the freezes are probably caused by corrupted internal game files caused by slow memory or CPU response, or by inadequate Graphics systems.

You should ask your tech if he can help you get a decent computer, such as a rebuild or if he can help rebuild yours, for a cheap price.
