First you should have a study permit before going here in the Philippines. The best nursing schools here in the Philippines will definitely be the University of the Philippines & University of Santo Tomas. Other schools in Cebu City also tops the board examination . You should study in quality schools so that you will be sure that you will pass your NCLEX when you go back to California. I am sorry, I havent heard of St. Ignatius Science Health College. With the boom in nursing profession & the high demand abroad, nursing schools mushroomed everywhere.

According to CHED and PRC, here are the top nursing schools in terms of passing the board exam (2000-2004)
UP-Manila 100%
St. Paul College-Iloilo 99.57%
Silliman University - Dumaguete City 98.39
West Visayas State University 97.06%
University of Santo Tomas Manila 96.67%
Saint Louis University - Baguio City 95.05
Mindanao State University Marawi City 95.0%
St. Paul College-Dumaguete City 93.38
Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Maynila 92.53%
SAINT MARY’S UNIVERSITY - Bayombong 91.02%
St. Paul College-Manila 90.81%
University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Center 90.57%
Aha! Four of them (St Paul's in Iloilo and Dumaguete, Silliman, and West Visyayan) from the Visayas, proving you don't have to go to a school in Manila to get the best BSN education. I should know: I'm married to a Silliman grad, top ten in the boards.
