This may sound like a trivial issue, but I do meet people on my travels at work and we exchange email addresses and just generally keep in touch by forwarding those funny, comical emails - you know the ones! The thing is, I seem to be doing all the sending, even though I know these people get plenty, but they fail to send them on to me. I get, "Thanks for sending me all the emails, it really brightens my day" and I say to them "Where's mine?" and I just get ignored and I wonder where the heck are my emails? Where's the reciprocation? Shall I just stop sending them to these people?

No, just put them in the everyone file and remember that not everyone has time to do that. If they actually send you a message that probably should be a little more appreciated than just a forwarded email. Also the funny ones are OK but it you are doing those chain letters or those awful ones with curses if they are broken those are insulting and a nuisance to people and they might cut you off.

Most people send txt jokes now it's easier. I have a good network of jokes comming through so maybe you should get their numbes and do it that way. If you are in England I can add you!
Why don't you send an email asking for any jokes to be sent to you and see who responds. I bet you do get some back
Good Luck
Jeff

Unless you want to tick them off don't make an issue of it. Particularly since these are work friends you want to be on good terms with them and this is really not a big deal. I don't send a lot of email because I'm just not really into it, but no offense is meant by it.

I continually...continually edit out the different addresses, and the rubbish it is continually on the bottom of each and every e-mail. I also deliver it BCC so the receiver can't see who else were given a similar e-mail. this is truly demanding to get an e-mail, and function to locate what you're meant to ascertain between a million diverse addresses and different stuff that finally ends up zig zagged all around the web page after forwards

Maybe they are just being nice and they find the forwarded emails annoying. I know I thank people for them all the time at work when really they are just filling up my box.

Yes, if they haven't answered you by now they probably never intended to carry on an email pen pal relationship but were being flippant. Like those people who ask how are you but never expect you to tell them. It's a hard lesson but remember what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. Good luck

If these people didn't want you to send your forwards, they would say 'please don't send me that crap' (i have a friend who said just that, some people get flooded with forwards, or some people forward really unfunny stuff ...i myself only forward the 'good ones' and get the 'hey how's it going? thanks for the funny forwards, keep 'em coming)

sorry long story shirt, they enjoy receiving them, maybe you're the only one sending good stuff and they have nothing worthy of farwarding. I know i don't get that much funny stuff, feel free to email me some good stuff!!

i have a friend i send e-mails to but i don't receive reply. if you have taken it as a point of duty to be sending mails to them, then do it without expecting from them for one day they will come to their senses to say ah! someone is caring about me why won't I do same. let me just reply this one and you will be happy you did for the bible says cast your bread upon the waters for after many days it will come back to you. So don't give up for you will get yours one day.

Stop sending them for a while. See if they get the message.
