firstky gold is toooooo expensive n secondly there are many more materials that are much more good conductors of heat which are cheaper. then gold is too soft it will melt if exposed to high temperatures,

Too expensive,and a fairly low melting point
As an interesting aside,copper pans are traditionally tin-lined,apart from frying pans.These are lined with silver,at least in professional kitchens
