I used my credit/debit card to pay for a service about 6 months ago, and didn't realize it was a scam and is actually a free service untill today. I would like to know if it's too late to dispute the charges with my CC company or bank to have my money refunded. Please let me know what I can do, if anything.

not trying to humiliate you, but can you specify at all? do you have an invoice reflecting the charge and this service on it?

If your are in the U.S.

You can still dispute it because the charge didn't go through tell today.

I would recommend you asking your bank to hot card your credit/debit card. So no more recurring charges can be put on this card and cannot be transferred to the new card

You can tell them you need to claim Visa and/or MasterCard zero liability policy.

File the chargeback immediately! The credit card companies favor the side of the consumer. I hope your card has fraud protection.
