Perhaps you uninstalled an application prematurly and it left the registry entry for the startup. The computer is trying to locate the startup files for that program but cannt so it gives you an error so to remove that:

go to START, BUTTON, click RUN

type msconfig (press enter)

a window will come up, go to the startup tab on the right hand side...

uncheck any references to PSAPI.DLL or GetProcessImageFileNameW and then it shouldnt give you that error message.

It also could be spyware so download Spybot search & destroy and do a scan on your computer:

Hope this helps a bit.

Very simple... :)

Go to

Start > Programs > Acceseries > System Tools > System Restore

A window will open Click Restore Option >> Select the date when your system was working well Without the error.

N there you :) It will return back to the older settings when your PC was working well.

Best of Luck :)

This means that some application is calling the function GetProcessImageFileNameW . Hoever this function does not exist in the file PSAPI.DLL

It might mean that PSAPI.DLL is an old version.

It is not spy ware. It is a dll file that you computer needs. Type psapi.dll into your browser and it will take you to a place that can tell you what that dll file is for. I did' but it's hard to explain. Easier if you go look.

run an up-to-date antivirus and then re-install microsoft office.
if that doesn't works, reinstall microsoft windows.

if that fail you should need to uninstall those programs prior to reinstalling again.
