I just read on ESPN.com that MLB and the union are close on a new agreement. Do you think it's a good thing? Should they have addressed some things like a salarycap or a salary minimum. Or a stronger drug testing like for HGH?

Since the details are being kept secret and the public will not know until it is a done deal, one has to expect that the difficult issues regarding substance abuse and testing will be handled in an inadequate manner. It would be drawn out only if the owners were being tough on some issues.

there already is a minimum salry for major league players, 300 thousand dollars a year. a salary cap would make the game more fair, but that isnt what baseball is about, you have to spend money to make money, unless you are the royals or devil rays, they get huge amounts back from the luxury tax cause the owner doesnt want to spend money

you cannot accurately test for HGH, because the body makes it naturally
