I think its a medical term but don't know what it means?

Someone mentioned a word which i tried to look up but could not find, it is probably spelt wrong as i have spelt it as it sounds the word(s) are Ex Duet Machino

Is it possibly deus ex machina? It's a theater term. It means god from a machine. Refers to a contrived solution to the whatever problem the plot needs to have resolved. You can read about it in Wikipedia.
