what is the difference between phylum mollusca and phylum cnidaria??

Essentially, although they both have soft bodies, the cnidarians have radial symmetry and nematocysts

Cnidaria means "stinging nettle" - they all sting

The mollusca have a mantle - in some cases this is used to make a hard bony outer shell.
