the elimination races would knock out the bottom drivers and as the chase winds down only the top 2 or 3 would be the only drivers races for tha cup?

The elimination races are the cup schedule up to the final 10 races..But you are very close to what I have suggested already.
You start the chase with 12 drivers.After each chase race the last place chase driver is eliminated.So at the final race you have 2 drivers going for the title.
Yes people would be upset because they think 1 bad race should not hurt their drivers chance,but this would make the competition even tighter.

Ten races out of the schedule is enough for 'The Chase'. As far as adding drivers, I don't think that is necessary either. The teams have 26 races to get in contention. There is no reason for opening the door any wider.

I agree on adding races but not on drivers & elimination races cauz drivers on early elimination wont be able to show their skills as their will be too many cars and accidents.

Drop the entire 'chase theme', and give everyone an equal chance as before.

No. I'm not a big fan of the Chase to begin with, it has not made NASCAR more exciting.
