They teach the work in a fun way, when it is nearly time for summer holidays, they still teach but incorporate it in a fun way. Eg. in maths, shape would be incorporated by using those hexagons that link in with each other to make three dimensional shapes. In English, when we did 'Much Ado About Nothing' at KS3, we did a lot of drama which wasn't only fun, but in the exam, we remembered bits of language because we acted out their meaning and it made it easier to think of language points, especially as language is needed get a decent grade, and because Shakespeare tended to write in a great amount of figurative language.

They demonstrated a very extensive knowledge about the subjects they taught. Aside from historical information, they were also up-to-date about the current applications of their field. They were also able to relate or associate their subject matter to everyday experiences. When using examples, they cited very practical and easily-identifiable people, places, objects, and events. They also related personal experiences to make the class more intimate.
In terms of communication, they always faced the class and made eye contact with their students. They often used their hands to demonstrate their point. They kept themselves up-to-date with the language of the current generation.
They also demonstrated openness and a good sense of humor. They never saw the need to raise their voices or use name-calling. They welcomed questions and additional information from their students.
Lastly, they showed that they cared. That they gave a damn about the welfare of their students, and they treated everyone equally.

i have this teacher once in gradeschool, who was teaching mathematics at that time, helped me understand my arithmetic. lol. i never have any patience with numbers, and that early on my impatience with digits were obvious already. my teacher, whose name i won't mention, let me call her rapunzel. because of her very long, silky smooth hair. she stayed with me after school and became my tutor. she never faltered whenever i whine and whimper or bawl whenever i don't freakin' understand anything. she was the embodiment of a saviour to me at that time, because believe me i had worst tantrums ever. it doesn't help that i had an attention span disorder or something when i am dealing with numbers. rapunzel was always patient with me and very creative in giving me ways to get whatever it is she was teaching me. she was very kind and accomodating, her smile never leaves her face, never got mad at me, never raised her voice. her support and gentle ways helped me a lot. no matter how hot it was in our classroom (we had a ceilling fan that is like a furnace in the afternoon, and it doesn't help that i was hungry all the time, my metabolism as a child is comparable to tazmanian devil lol).so if you will ask me what are best qualities of my favorite teacher, it's everything that can describe that teacher, kindness, patience, genuine concern and the generosity in sharing knowledge. if all teachers around the world are like her, studying will never be a burden but a wonderful experience!

I always liked clever, if not witty, teachers with open minds. I also had more respect for them if they were well-versed in their subjects, and more if they were wise beyond their content area. I only hope I am filling those shoes now that I am a teacher.
