most probably, yes.

here is why:
- most of the people wishing are going to be kids
- most kids are going to wish for things within the realm of reasonable (that new red bike, that new baseball glove, that new dress, that new toy, etc.)
- most parents / family are going to be aware of those kids strong desire to obtain the dream toy / object, and quite a few of them will actually give it for the kid's next birthday, or at christmas

If you start with the number of kids aged 5 to 10 in a country such as the U.S., and make some assumptions, you'd probably end up with at least several thousand kids, per year, seeing a falling star, making a wish, and seeing that wish come true.

Those kids would thus be excused to believe in the magic power of falling stars, whereas it would just be chance.

I wish quite often, but not when the stars are falling.
Anyway, yeah I tried once, but the star was too quick, before I finally made up some wish.

Wish come true? The more you work hard on your target, your wish will probably get closer.

I personally don't believe wish after seeing a falling start will come true.

For example, let say, you see a falling start and make a wish to be the richest, would it be come true? (Of course, wish something is realistic, not something like I wish i can be invisible!) Probably not, unless you work your way up to make your wish come true.

Well, I saw one (for about half a second: would've nearly missed it if my brother didn't notify me) after a week, I came to the U.S (which was what I was wishing for some time).
