From your question, you are desperate to get pregnant. It depends on your state as at the time of the intercourse. If you are at your peak of getting pregnant, it a week after your first missed period you should get a pregnancy test.

I don't know how old you are, but , it sounds as if you don't know
anything at all.You may fall pregnant the very first time you have intercourse, or it may take Quite a long time.
Make an appointment to see a birth control clinic, and learn a few things, before you take that first step, and have sex.
What you have is very special, and should be shared by the most precious person in your life, and that should be a long way down the track.

A woman's chance of getting pregnant varies with her age.
Chance of Conceiving in Any One Month, by Age:
Early 20s: Up to 25 percent conceive
Late 20s and early 30s: Up to 15 percent conceive
Late 30s: Up to 10 percent conceive
Your Chance of Conception
If you are in your late 20s and early 30's and are having sex without birth control two to three times a week:
60 percent will conceive in six months
75 percent will conceive in nine months
80 percent will conceive in twelve months
90 percent will conceive in eighteen months
It would make sense to contact an infertility specialist now if you have a a family history of infertility or irregular periods, a history of STDs, repeat abortions or miscarriages, gynecological procedures involving the uterus or surgeries/trauma to the pelvis.

Because the vagina is actually acidic, a sperm can only live in the vagina for 3-5 days. I'd give it about a week. However, you won't detect a hormonal change (i.e. test postitive) until at least 10 days after having sex. Even then, it may not test positive until the day your period is due (up to 30.

Not weeks or months, once the sperm enters the woman, it will live for about three days. If you are to conceive it will be within that time.

right when the egg meets the sperm then it is show time. I think it is at that very moment. You dont always get pregnant with unprotected sex. But about 90% you will.

its takes about 10 hours after ejaculation for the sperm to reach the egg and fertilise it, once fertilisation takes place you have conceived and are officially pregnant.
