dude montana didnt win a ring with chiefs they all came with the 49ers and one ring was as a back up. he was a better qb i think than bradshaw because his team won more games. albeit they played more games. i think their leadership abilities and talent wise they are the same. you look at certain similarities. bradshaw threw the ball to stallworth and swann and had franco harris a double threat out the backfield. montana had rice and taylor with craig as a dual threat out of the backfield. they both had great coaches knoll and walsh. basically what it comes down to is numbers. give the edge to montana. personally im a cowboys fan and i hated it when either bradshaw or montana had a big game against my team.

Well, seeing as how Joe Montana is the BEST TO EVER PLAY THE POSITION (some may argue Johnny U, but at worst, Joe is top 2), I'd have to say Joe. In fact, I wouldn't even have Bradshaw in the top 5 to every play.
Oh, and to ORIGINALI... Are you seriously saying that Montana had a better team....?

Montana hands down. People wouldn't even know who Bradshaw is if it wasn't for him being on Fox every Sunday. Just goes to show how good of a QB Montana was for his name to be known with out constant publicity.

Joe Montana was without a doubt a MUCH better quarterback than T.B., and I grew up a Steeler fan in the 70's. Without the Steel Curtain Defense, that team DID NOT win ANY of those Stuporbowls, K?

Montana was the perfect QB for Walsh's system and is a staple of perfection for West Coast Offense.
Bradshaw probably had better QB skills, with amazing accuracy and a cannon arm.
In regards of core QB skills, arm strength and accuracy, I think Bradshaw wins.
Montana was a amazingly smart QB who lacked those traits but his offense allowed him to get the ball out quickly to his WRs.
In the regard that in the West Coast offesne the WRs need to be more alert and precise, I would have to say Bradshaw has a slight edge.

Montana. When I think of the 49ers, I think of Montana and his athletic skills as a QB. When I think of Bradshaw, I think, oh the announcer.
