There are various components to being a mature adult: patience, respect, the ability to compromise... is there a good book that defines these traits and describes what might go wrong in developing them? I see many folks who aren't "mature" adults and I want to learn more about what goes wrong.

First of all, if you want to learn why people get screwed up,.....
then you need to read books on " Abnormal Psychology". THAT
my friend....is VERY interesting......all the different personality
disorders....psychosis,..etc. Heck everyone should read that.
Positive books to read..to better yourself....can be Dr. Wayne
Dyer. He's great. There is also a great book called,"Soul Stories"
by Gary Zurek. It is fascinating......keep reading and learning.
Good for you.
