It seems that the foundationds of moral substance, and ethical fortitude which made our country strong are being sacrificed at the sake of furthering political agendas and idealistic dogma. Have we as a people become so blind as to not be able to comprehend the inevitablly damnable outcome of profit, and partisan politics in place of true good old fashioned public service? Are our personal ideals, and vices so ultimately important as to overrule even the most basic forms of common self survival as a whole? Can we get back to a point where the only profits afforded within the political arena are self evident realizations of prosperity benifical to even the common man?
Please, If you can't be neutral, or sincere, don't reply.

American motherland?

The basic unit of any civilization is the individual, not the state. If individuals are oppressed, the whole of the nation is oppressed. Those who wax over concepts such as patriotism and public service are actually wallowing in nationalism, which has no place in a society that claims to afford liberty any value whatsoever.
