These two Antennae galaxies are actually colliding/merging. This image is now the background on my computer desktop. Beautiful, but not just beautiful.

Just think Bush decommissioned the up keep on the Hubble. He Thoth it's use was to fined God.And it wasn't doing a good job.

but sorry, they're not of a galaxy being formed - they're photos of the collision between two galaxies!

If you refer to Antennae Galaxies, well, it is not being formed now, it happened some billion years ago and it is not "news" The NGC4038 and NGC4039 (their official names) have been many times "first page" in APOD. check below for more pics and many info.

yes i saw it , its written in the holy quran ( muslims book ) that galaxies get together and form new galaxies , its like marriage
