She demands all his time and has him wrapped around her finger. Whenever we hangout she comes with and i dont know why cos i dont even think she likes the rest of the group. She pulls him away by pretending to mad at him or sick and he falls for it everytime. Everyone can see this besides him. I tried talking to himand he listened but in the end he just gives in.I really dont like her and i know she doesn't like me, so its all just pretense btwn us. I want him to be happy and i know he really loves her even though she's high maintenance.

To set some more things straight (especially to the retard tarheel) i do have a boyfriend and we make time for each other and for our friends. We dont isolate ourselves from the rest. Thats why i dont understand why they are like that when we are a perfect example that couples can work within a group.
Secondly, he's my best friend! I cant just ignore him, he's a good guy. He complains about her and even considered dumping her but i know he never will. he doesn't know i dont like her, and i will never tell him. I'v always been supportive, all i told him was that he needs to put his foot down and take charge of this relationship.
Alot of his friends are drifting away... so its not just me.

I'm in a same situation like you are in except the part that me telling my friend about his girlfriend.
I know she hates all of his friends, I know she thinks everyone else is stupid, I know she thinks the earth exists for her...but there's nothing you or I can do but to be there for him.
All you have to do is to sit tight, be supportive, always there for him and never tell him anything bad about his girlfriend. Remember, you don't want him to end up blaming you because you told him something bad about his girlfriend.
I know it's tough to be in this kind of situation and tough to see him being treated that way...but you have to think, what if he likes being treated like that by his girlfriend? What if he really, really likes her? There's nothing you can do but to accept it.
But these people will pay in the future in some ways...Just watch.
By the way...I've been in this situation for more than 3 years now...I've encountered many things that drove me nuts in my head, but I've been dealing with it allright. I'm sure you can handle it too if you think about your best friend.

She obviously is insecure about her relationship with your friend, which makes her do the things she does. If she is pretending now it could only get worse later. Your friend will not see any of this because he is in love, and if he does see it , he will only make excuses for her. If your friend is to be truly happy, a woman who doesn't play games, has a life and lets him have his, then their life together would be happy. I hope your friend doesn't have to wait years before he see's things clearly.

Funny coz it sounds familiar. Hope we're not talking about the same friend ;)
He is your best friend after all. The more you say about his girlfriend the more you two grow apart. Let him be. Act like nothing has happened. He'll come around.....and if he seems that he never will - try it from her side this time, after all she is the core of the problem. Sounds like she's just a sad and desparate attention seeker.

aha. Ive had that same incident. He wont see whats going on until they split up or until he sees that all his friends are leaving him because hes disin them all for this chick. You really cant do much, especially if hes whooped on this chick. Just try to hang out when you guys can or when she lets him. True friends stick through the rough times.

Its obvious your sipping on some hatorade cause you sound jealous and you envy what she has that you don't. So my advice is stop pretending to be the next karate kid and get your on man.

stay away from him... everyone should completely alienate him and let him deal with her so he can realize the kind of girl she is and how everyone cant stand her
