Surely the worst band ever would realise and not release any music?
I think any group can produce good songs occassionally eg Deacon Blues first album Raintown is very good although later stuff was poor/
I dont class myself as a kylie Minogue fan but I can see that Cant get you out of my head is a wonderful pop song for example

My sister made me ride to school listening to Richard Marx, Roxette and Nelson. I had to live through New Kids on the Block, MC Hammer, Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice being cool. The late eighties and early nineties sucked hard core until Nirvana came along and destroyed pop music for a good five years.
Music might suck now, but it could never be that bad again.

Anything that can be classed as manufactured music:
Anything on Pop dol, X-Factor, manufactured boy/girl bands etc etc. ESPECIALLY Girls Aloud.
Basically, anyone who doesn't write their own music/lyrics. they just learn the words and (try) to sing them. They sing without the passion of someone who writes their own music and usually have their voices electronically altered.
Real music comes from the writer, so if the singer is the writer, it really shows.

Nirvana...they catered for wee bairns (students and the like) who were hardly sober enough to appreciate anything...so they didn't need to excel.
There are many other bands to pick from - most (in my book) from the nineties - early years of new millennium, but Mr. Cobain and his band edges it, I'm afraid.
Welshchick...agree wholeheartedly!

Gotta be Westlife, all they do is cover other bands songs (badly I might add). For shame whoever said Fall Out Boy and Queen.

The Principal Edward's Magic Theatre.
My dad bought their album on vinyl for a bargain 20p in the 60s or 70s. If you find it (and I doubt it's on CD) have a listen. Then you'll see what I'm talking about.
