Why are they struggling so badly??? I mean, they have not put ONE team away handily this year!!! they were up 17-7 on UL MONROE and almost got beat by DUKE...????? Could it be talent issues? could it be scheme issues? could it because mike shula is turning off the lights in the locker room before the game and shining a flashlight in his face and laughing maniacally and scaring the team?.......i just don't get it...they were so good last year.......:(

I couldn't say my tarheels the way they are going will get beat by duke. But with the tradition at bama if Shula doesn't get his act together then they will find someone who will. Bama has way to much tradition for things to get out of hand.

Alabama has had too many coaches since Coach Bryant. With the football tradition at Alabama all the fans want perfection when the coach is hired if the team fails to perform then they want the coaches job. Most of the time when a coach takes over for the next 2 or 3 years he has players from orevious coaches. When he gets his players he will start building the team this again is at least a 2 year program so it would take a coach about 5 years to build a championship caliber team.
As for us arm chair coaches if we could do better then we should apply for the job.
The players are important to the program. If you have just 1 that wants to be a super star he will throw the rythum of the team off. This is where Coach Bryant stepped in and sat the want ta be superstar down.We must go back to this to win.

naturally i would say cause they suck, i am an auburn fan myslef, however. auburn has been winning on luck latley as well. i think the big thing with bama this year is the pressure is getting to them. they started off good, and maybe they got to excited in the undefeted race in the SEC. once they lost and saw that the big enemy auburn had still won... they starting putting a lot of pressure on themselves. which may be bad for them playin tenn this weekend. bama is not a bad team, but they, like auburn just need to pull their head out of their butts and make some plays happen. i think after tenn, they have an easy ride untill the iron bowl. if they can take tennt his weekend then they will have the momentum to do better the next few weeks.
