I am 35 years old and I seem to have an excessive amount of vaginal leakage. I thought it might be a yeast infection, but it's still there after I treated myself for it. I am so sorry to get really personal ladies, but are your underwear wet all of the time? Mine are and it keeps getting worse. Could it be the fact I am morbidly obese? I know I should go to the doctor, but I just haven't been able to make myself yet. It's such an embarassing subject. Thanks everyone and sorry to be so graphic,..but I really need input. Oh, it has a strong pee like odor too. I feel like I should be changing underwear 3 or 4 times per day. It's too early for an overactive bladder isn't it? I thought that was for older people. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone..and yes, I did ask this a couple of months ago and just keep stewing and not doing anything about it. I felt I needed to hear what more had to say because not many people answered me that time, and quite frankly I am scared to go to the doctor. I guess I need to stop putting it off...thanks everyone. I was just wondering if maybe everyone has that going on and doesn't talk about it. You all have been great!

Yes, yes - had the same thing. I had ovarian cysts and some cervical displaysia (sorry about the spelling). The cysts would pop and my undies would get soaked. You have to get them lanced and maybe put on some hormone therapy to get them to calm down. Get yourself checked because it sounds like what I went through. I had pre-cancerous cells that were removed because of these symptoms.

Vaginal discharge is normal. I am healthy and young, and I have to wear pantiliners everyday to avoid ruining my underwear. However, the fact that it smells kind of foul might be a warning sign, especially since this is a new problem for you. I'd definately go see a gynecologist. It could be a few things, such as vaginitis, which is usually accompanied by itching. I believe that vaginitis can be treated with antibiotics. Also, the unusal discharge may be caused by an STD.
But those are just two possibilities. The only way you will know is if you go talk to your doctor. It could be nothing at all. Again, vaginal discharge is normal, and the amount varies from person to person. If you start experiencing other symptoms, such as itching, or if it turns an unusaul color, see the doctor IMMEDIATELY.

This is most likely bladder leakage. I think you would definitely know if it was yeast, since this is terribly uncomfortable and itchy. however, moist underwear alone can cause a yeast infection. But often times, over the counter remedies do not treat yeast.
If you are obese there is a very good chance you could have a cystocele, or dropped bladder. this causes urinary leakage. Yeast does often cause discharge, but not quite that much. What is the character of your discharge? Is it clear? white? thin like egg whites? thick like cottage cheese? or is it like water? I am sure u are using sanitary pads. this would help keep u dry and avoid the chance of recurrent yeast. Yeast grows in warm moist places. so you can see why this would be an optimal place for yeast to grow.
also any traumatic child births can cause urinary leakage. hope this helps. however, I am a nurse and u really need to go to the doctor. Believe me, they have seen it all. and think nothing of "yours" if you know what I mean. I am a nurse, but I am also a woman and know how uncomfortable it is to go to the gyn. But they really do need to check it out and probably do a culture (look under a microscope) on the discharge. This could even be something like an STD. you just never know. have you had any fever?
addendum- I seriously doubt if this is cysts or cancer. but that does not mean you should delay getting checked. Everyone is different.

Go to a doctor! In the meantime, get some pads to wear. They are a lot easier to change than your underwear all the time. But get pads for bladder leakage--not for periods. Poise makes different sizes and thicknesses.
Now make up your mind that you will call a doctor today and make an appointment! It is nothing to be embarrassed about. Believe me, they have seen everything! You may have an overactive bladder, and that is quite common in women.

This could be several things. It could be a yeast infection, or a UTI. My money is on either a UTI, or it could be just that you are leaking small ammounts of pee. I say this because you said it smells like pee. The easiest short term fix is to wear either a sanitary towel, or better still, one of the new mini incontinence pads, like Poise or Tena Lady ultra. You must pluck up courage to go to the Dr.s. Something like this is going to need medical attention.
Good luck!!!!!

hey,
Your not too young my sister is 20 and she has an overactive bladder. What you've described sounds like what she was going through. I think maybe you should bite the bullet and go see that doctor about it....its not like he hasn't seen or heard it all before (at least that's how i try to look at embarrassing stuff like that!)
Good luck with it.

This might be urinary reflux. It's more common in overweight women. What happens is urine leaks out when the woman is sitting, and it goes into her vagina. When she stands up, it flows out. Yeah, kinda embarassing. I'm with everyone else. take a deep breath and make an appointment with your doctor!

Did you have babies? Things can be slightly damaged from child birth. But yeah it sounds like it could be a blatter thing. Ask your doctor, it's not normal. Don't be embarrassed doctors have seen much worse. It might be an easy fix. good luck.
