I could not believe it when they said Jeffery, I would have bet my life that they were going to say Uli Laura or Michael, anyone but him, I thought he had the worst collection , the judges praised Laura and Uli, and I thought they told Jeffery that his wasn't that good? Did I miss something along the way?

There is something funny going on there, and I'm not laughing...it just did not add up... I have to watch it again...I was just so disappointed, Jeffery seems sneaky and it doesn't take much for him to get an attitude.....

I don't know, something smells fishy....

I have mixed feelings. First of all, I'm biased against Jeffrey because I don't like his taste and would never wear any of his outfits. Second, he already has a business up and running, and he designs for celebrities already. He's probably the last person out of the four who needs help getting into the fashion industry; he's already in it! However, he really did design a unique and creative collection, and since his taste is so different and not mainstream, he really could contribute a lot to the fashion industry that it hasn't seen before. Michael's a cool guy, and he has perhaps more creativity than Jeffrey, but the judges were right that his fashion sense needs to mature a little. I think he's better at putting outfits together than designing new pieces to make an outfit out of. I never minded Uli's dresses, but some of that stuff was just weird, like those two that had like a belt just above the breasts, and it just hung down - UGLY! And I don't know what Laura was thinking, but some of her stuff looked like costumes for a play set in the 1800's.

i was not happy with the outcome at all. i have watched the show since it came on, but will never watch it again. i know it's only a tv show, but i think the judges picked jeffrey to shock the viewers. i hope there is a backlash, and their ratings go down. perhaps they were trying to teach all of us "normal people" what real fashion is and how superior they are to us. i will not watch the next season of the show. jeffery sucked the entire season -- i did not like anything he ever designed. the other three finalists created beautiful designs and jeffrey was never in their league. project runway has lost a viewer, and i hope they lose many more.

Uli was a bore, Mike threw it away, Laura is a brat.
And in case you didn't catch it,,,most of the designers have lines already.
The purpose of the show is to help launch them into the big time.
And What star was Jeff designing for?
Um...hated all four of em.
I thought Bonnie was a true talent, and I like Kane alot too.
Now onto Top Chef

I was rooting for Michael as well, but his line really was a disappointment. He does best when he's given clear restrictions (recycled materials! modernize a style icon! jetsetter! ) but chokes when he's given free rein (Nina Garcia's challenge.)

Jeffery however, no matter what his personality is like (and I'm sorry, I think Laura is really way more vicious and nasty than Jeffery ever was) truly deserved his win. Bryant Park is not about showing clothes that people can wear right off the runway (for that please refer to your local department store catalogue) its about a designer presenting a fresh, exciting point of view that can generate loads of buzz and store orders for more wearable versions. Jeffery definitely delivered on that. It makes sense that he won the couture challenge as "the only one who understands what couture is about" (according to Michael Kors)

Michael Knight is definitely on his way and should be there in a few years. Ulli--well, I did like her show but as Fern Mallis pointed out its resortwear, and while that may be hot right now as a category, there's no "news" there. Ulli could present the same exact line in 2007....2008......2009......whereas with both Jeffery and Michael there will always be a surprise factor and people will be fighting to get seats to those shows.

As for Laura....I really can't understand why people like her so much. She's condescending to viewers ("I wanted to send a message that women should spend a few minutes to take care of themselves"...?)....she trashes everyone and that whole thing about accusing Jeffery of cheating based on a "gut feeling"....this by the way came after they showed her interview saying that she wanted to win "as long as Jeffery didn;t win." and making a huge point of not getting up to greet him like Ulli and Michael did. Maybe Jeffery explodes, but thats preferable to being backstabbing and devious as Laura was....I actually feared for Michael throughout the season, praying that she wouldn't tank him.

Laura should have been penalized for that mindgame she played--and Jeffery should get credit for putting it in the right perspective: he was hurt because his integrity was called into question and it was "understandable" because of Laura's lack of experience.

The only thing missing from the finale was a reaction shot of Laura's twisted face once Jeffery won.

HATED it. Jeffrey's line didn't get any applause while it was being shown, whereas Uli's and Laura's did. either one of them should have won.

wasn't technically happy with it but thats not to say that jeffrey is not a very talented designer...he just may not be everyone's taste.
