I want to know if Jacobs will be a solid number 4 runningback on my team.

The reason I ask this question is because on yahoo fantasy football league it said on Jacobs' news and notes that Jacobs will likely take over for Barber. I want to know if this is true.

Na he wont get more carries now b/c the Giants are playing for THIS YEAR. Tiki is leading the league in rushing and he's talented enough to finish the season as the leagues leading rusher. He opens up that offense for Eli and if they have any chance at making some noise their defense has to step up and play better and they have to consistently give Tiki the ball. Brandon Jacobs will be a great starter for the Giants in the future (or whatever team). He is still gonna get some carries but either way I would still start him b/c in goal line situations its Jacobs getting the glory as Barber is the workhorse...

Jacobs won't be getting any more carries than he currently is. If anything, Barber might get more carries as this is his last year... and the Giants would want to get the most of our Barber as they can get.
Jacobs would only be a decent option if one of your main guys is on a bye week.
If you want a guy who gets goal line carries though, I'd rather pick up Marion Barber.
