Would like to see other peoples opinions, some of my favourites for sheer timing, Madeline Kahn (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein), Joyce Grenfell (St Trinians movies), Margaret Rutherford (Miss Marple), Victoria Wood (Dinnerladies), and Julie Walters (Educating Rita, Dinnerladies). They all have great comic timing who are your choices?

Totally forgot about Katharine Hepburn, she was fantastic with Cary Grant. Thanks for reminding me...

Victoria Wood. Her writing is all about everyday life and can be related to. True genius, writes, acts, performs. Of course, Julie Walters who is like a chameleon and can play just about any part, any age and you know you are going to see a marvellous performance whatever she does.

Joyce Grenfell was the queen of them all. Her tongue in cheek delivery was amazing.

Here are a few more to add to your list.

Anna Russell was a real hoot, taking the Mikey out of Richard Wagner operas, and was unique in that she could sing as well.

Margaret Rutherford's dead pan delivery was awesome.
The "Carry on" film ladies where also very good for a giggle, in particular Joan Sims, Hattie Jacques, Prunella Scales and Barbara Windsor.

Peneloppe Keith and Patricia Routledge excel at snobbish impersonations and have yet to be surpassed in the genre.

Dawn French and her blonde side kick in "The Vicar of Dibley" are good together. I smile just thinking about the sketch with Darcy Bussell and Dawn as a ballerina. However Dawn and Saunders do nothing for me.
I find Saunders and Lumley together excruciating.

Caroline Tate with her atrocious staccato delivery and her " Can't be bothered" over-played line has become totally boring.

There is nothing like pure satire. I wish we could have a world laughter day, if only to sometimes laugh at ourselves.

"you would possibly want to be eating that-a Subway sandwich, Jerry-stupid-Lawler. you're searching very chunky as we talk." Santino is hilarious. i visit't believe you have not figured that out yet. The Playboy unveiling replaced into as humorous if no longer funnier than him stealing Jerry-stupid-Lawler's sandwich. What about: "they conflict to make me watch the Condemned, I say no, no, no. it is a sad truth, Stone chilly, he can't act, He might want to flow, flow, flow." or: "i'm-a gonna beat you up" (previous to getting roled up) or: "you want-a lobbersnockers, JR?" or: "i'm-a gonna open up a can of the asswhip, stomp a mudpie, devour a frozen yogurt, and those are the bottom lines, reason-a Stone chilly suggested so." or: "If I were-a on the island, i might want to have discovered a nonviolent answer. Then we'd want to have shared a canolli." or perhaps the bit with Snoop Dogg before on raw the former day. Santino is comedy gold.
