You are right. D&G and Dolce and Gabbana are the same brand. but the only difference is that D&G is a more affordable version of Dolce and Gabbana. Dont mistake it for fake, but just more affordable.
Its the same with Armani, and Armani Exchange. The exchange is the cheaper version, but same company and brand.

well its by the same designer duo dole and gabbana but theyve introduced two seperate lines one dn g is cheaper and dolce n gabbana is expensive.its just like moschino..they too have two lines moschino the main brand and moschino cheap n chic .

most labels have an initials only version and another full name to separate between then casual and the formal line of the brand. i.e. MNG and MANGO. it's the same, but they cater to two different markets.

So they can sell to more people. Not everyone can afford a $3000 purse, but many people can afford a $300 purse. It may be less original and mass produced, but people will still buy it.
