I'm going out this sat and I'm gonna wear tight dark blue jeans rolled up neatly(or I guess folded) to mid-calf with black boots and I was wondering what type of top would go best with that, I was thinking a black knitted shawl with white spaghetti strap shirt underneath

And please if you don't like the style just be mature and don't leave a stupid comment

You don't say whether your going out night or day?

Day:- A thin purple Aaran jumper, long so it goes over your bum, with a v neck. Or perhaps one of those lycra United Nations camouflage tee shirts in multi grays.

Night:- something a bit flowy, like one of those black chiffony tops with the plunging haulter neck line down the front. Long sleeves, but try and make them flowy or split too. 'Envy' sell some nice ones. they can be found in most retail parks like Lakeside, Galleria or Bluewater.

Wear some gold jewellery if they're small chains or 1 item big and ostentatious in silver. Earrings and bangles would be good too.

Don't make the make up daring. Calf length boots to rolled up jeans is an aggressive look. Bold make up will make you look scary!

honestly, dark blue jeans aren't out. they never will be. it just depends on the cut of the jean that changes with each season. you can always dress up or dress down dark jeans.

now, as far as the shawl, i will say that it does not go with the rolled up pants and boots. you're making two very distinct statements on the upper and lower halves of your body. i suggest you rock a black tank top or black shirt to compliment the rolled up jeans and boots. and, please accessorize to pull it all together. you have to decide in your head what theme you're going for when you put this outfits together.

I would go for a really nice well styled low cut shirt, with a fab belt around it. I dont like the sound of a shawl.

well, i frankly disagree with you. the ethics of style have common guidelines, if you really have to wear the "dark" blue jeans then what ever. but im so sorry dark blue are just soo out. i really hate telling you this, but they just are. i wish i could tell you they werent but they just are. and i hope you dont think im being immature because i am a perfectly respectable person. well, so if you'lll settle for faded jeans with SOME distress then i would wear a swimsuit top with a half sweatshirt and then a ski jacket, its a very hot look. but then again i dont know it youre dresssing casual, black tie or what not!!! so im just soo sorry if i didnt help you enough

I think a long sleeve, with the kind of neck part that like folds down over ur shoulders in a dark purple or something. that would be hott;)

HOT! I would wear like red underneath...throw some coler in there!..some pretty glossy red lips! and long earrings with hair down or pulled back...but floss those earrings too.
