No opinions here. I'll tell you the answer from an evolutionist biologist's point of view.
First, there were reptiles. Birds evolved from them. Some bird-like reptile got mutated.
This mutation made its egg a little different from the regular reptile eggs.
Let's call this reptile (Ancestor of the first chickens on earth)- a "proto-hen".
This proto-hen laid a mutated egg which developed into the first ever chicken.
That's why scientists suggest that the EGG came before the chicken.
Creationists however, think that some white-bearded man sitting on clouds CREATED all the hens and dogs and men etc... which I think is ridiculous.
Hope this helped.

It was an ancestor to the chicken that gave rise to an egg that resulted in a chicken, get it? So the egg would have come first. The real question is did the chicken's ancestor come first or was it its' egg?

Okay. Chicken from human-selected breedings of wild fowl. Egg first from pre-chicken ancestor.

Well, since all life evolved from single celled organisms, I guess the best answer would be to say that the egg came first.

Good question, but not too original if I were to say so myself.
I'd bet on the chicken, but I doubt if you are going to prove either one.
